🇺🇸 8. What are the qualities of living in an earth house?

When I talk to students, I try to show them this other possibility that also exists to build a kinder world, greener and less expensive, kinder to the environment and to oneself. Clay soil allows you to work things out in a much more organic and creative way…and there are still millions of possibilities that we haven’t discovered yet! So much still remains to be done.

Quand je parle aux étudiants, j’essaie de leur montrer cette autre possibilité pour un monde plus amène. Un monde plus écologique, plus économique, mais plus doux pour l’environnement et pour soi-même. La terre vous permet de travailler les choses de manière beaucoup plus organique… artistiquement !… et il y a des millions de possibilités qui restent à découvrir. Il y a encore beaucoup à faire.

Wenn ich mit Studierenden spreche, versuche ich, ihnen diese andere Möglichkeit aufzuzeigen, die es für eine freundlichere Welt gibt: eine Welt, die ökologischer und wirtschaftlicher ist, aber vor allem freundlicher zur Umwelt und zu einem selbst. Denn die Erde (der Lehm) erlaubt es einem, viel organischer und künstlerischer zu arbeiten. Es gibt Millionen von Möglichkeiten, die wir noch gar nicht entdeckt haben, weil es noch so viel zu tun gibt.

Quando parlo con gli studenti, cerco di mostrare loro questa altra possibilità che esiste anche per costruire un mondo più gentile, più verde e meno costoso, più gentile con l’ambiente e con sé stessi. Il terreno di argilla consente di risolvere le cose in modo molto più organico e creativo… e ci sono ancora milioni di possibilità che non abbiamo ancora scoperto! C’è ancora molto da fare.

Wanneer ik met studenten praat, probeer ik hun deze andere mogelijkheid te laten zien die ook bestaat om een vriendelijkere, groenere en minder dure wereld te bouwen, vriendelijker voor het milieu en voor henzelf. Kleigrond stelt je in staat om dingen op een veel meer organische en creatieve manier uit te werken… en er zijn nog miljoenen mogelijkheden die we nog niet hebben ontdekt! Er moet nog zoveel worden gedaan.

Kiedy rozmawiam z uczniami, staram się pokazać im tę inną możliwość, która również istnieje, aby budować przyjaźniejszy świat, bardziej zielony i mniej kosztowny, przyjazny dla środowiska i dla siebie. Gleba gliniasta pozwala rozwiązywać problemy w o wiele bardziej organiczny i kreatywny sposób… i istnieje jeszcze miliony możliwości, których nie odkryliśmy! Tak wiele jeszcze pozostaje do zrobienia.

Quando converso com estudantes, tento mostrar essa outra possibilidade que existe para um mundo mais harmonioso, um mundo mais ecológico, mais econômico, mas também mais gentil com o meio ambiente e consigo mesmo. Porque a terra permite que a gente trabalhe as coisas de forma muito mais orgânica, mais artística, e ainda existem milhões de possibilidades não descobertas, pois há muito a ser explorado.

🇺🇸 Clay has been fundamental throughout human history, as its use dates back thousands of years—indeed, it is as ancient as humanity itself! 

🇫🇷 L’argile a joué un rôle fondamental dans l’histoire de l’humanité, car son utilisation remonte à des millénaires : elle est aussi ancienne que l’humanité elle-même ! 

🇩🇪 Lehm beziehungsweise Ton war von grundlegender Bedeutung in der Geschichte der Menschheit, denn seine Nutzung reicht Jahrtausende zurück – er ist so alt wie die Menschheit selbst! 

🇮🇹 L’argilla è stata fondamentale nella storia dell’essere umano, poiché il suo utilizzo risale a migliaia di anni fa: è antica quanto l’umanità stessa! 

🇳🇱 Als klei als bouwmateriaal zou worden benut, zou dit een oplossing kunnen bieden voor het woningtekort in Colombia. Zou jij je huis met dit materiaal bouwen? 

🇵🇱 Glina odegrała fundamentalną rolę w historii ludzkości, ponieważ jest wykorzystywana od tysięcy lat — jest tak stara jak sama ludzkość! 

🇧🇷 O barro tem sido fundamental na história da humanidade, pois seu uso remonta a milhares de anos — tão antigo quanto a própria humanidade!
